Shipping policy
Where we deliver
The Time Capsule DVD shop delivers nationwide across South Africa. We deliver to all major cities and towns including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Port Elizabeth and surrounds.
We do not currently offer international shipping.
Processing time
All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days of payment being confirmed. Orders placed over weekends or on public holidays are processed on the next available business day.
Each DVD is carefully inspected and packed before dispatch. As a pre-loved collection every item is checked for quality before it leaves us.
Delivery options
We offer two delivery options at checkout — choose whichever works best for you.
Option 1 — Locker to Locker — R75 Your order is delivered to a Courier guy locker of your choice. Simply collect at your convenience — lockers are available at hundreds of locations nationwide including selected shopping centres and pick-up points. You will receive a notification when your order is ready to collect.
Option 2 — Door to Door — R99 Your order is delivered directly to your home or office address by courier. Once dispatched you will receive a tracking number by email so you can follow your delivery.
Free shipping
Both delivery options are free on orders over R800.
Delivery times
Cape Town local — 2 to 5 business days for both options. Major cities nationwide — 3 to 5 business days. Remote or outlying areas — 5 to 7 business days. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on your location and courier availability. We are not responsible for delays caused by the courier once your order has been dispatched.
What if my order does not arrive
If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery window please contact us at info@thetimecapsule.co.za with your order number. We will investigate with the courier and keep you updated. If your order is confirmed as lost in transit we will send a replacement or issue a full refund at your discretion.
Packaging
All DVDs are packed securely to prevent damage in transit. We reuse packaging materials where possible as part of our commitment to reducing waste.
