What is a Time Capsule Event?
Once or twice a month we transform a venue into an event like no other! Each event is built around a single classic film — chosen with care, screened with pride. Before the film, we will have special immersive experiences connected to the theme and/or the movie we are doing. Ranging from escape rooms to board game evenings to trails, murder mysteries and everything in-between! The old-school "video shop" DVD store is yours to browse and take home hard-to find classic films. Then take a trip down memory lane and get entrance to a live quiz with exciting prizes and finally when the lights go down the main feature will begin!
Seating is unreserved and booked in-person on the day.
Every ticket includes a popcorn, drink and sometimes a special treat.
No two events are the same. The film changes every event. The theming changes. The tuck shop items change. The only thing that stays the same is the feeling — of being somewhere that was made for you.

Beetlejuice Halloween Night is your chance to be among the very first to step inside The Time Capsule — a genuine night out that's part cinema, part escape room, part mystery, part time capsule, all woven into one evening under one roof, and all included in a single ticket.
You'll arrive to a room dressed for the occasion, with a live haunted escape room waiting for you and your group. It's fast, it's fun, and it's genuinely hosted — no phones, no apps, just you, your friends, and fifteen minutes to make it out.
We also have a special self-guided murder mystery to solve at your own pace. Something strange has happened in this house, and the clues are scattered for anyone sharp enough to find them.
While you are waiting for the film to begin, take a browse through our nostalgic DVD store — a genuine collection of classic and hard-to-find titles for the avid film collector!
Once everyone has taken their seats we will begin our special nostalgic Halloween-inspired pub-style quiz and nostalgic experience.
And then it's time for the main attraction - the 1988 cult classic itself — Beetlejuice, on the big screen, exactly as it deserves to be watched. Drink, popcorn, and a special trick or treat surprise are all part of your ticket.
What's included in every ticket:
- A 15-minute haunted escape room, hosted live by our team (Times will be given when you buy your ticket)
- A self-guided murder mystery scavenger hunt
- Access to our nostalgic DVD store, browse and buy before and after the screening
- A full screening of "Beetlejuice" from 1988 starring Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder
- A drink, popcorn, and a special surprise "Trick or Treat"
- A special Pre-Show nostalgia experience featuring a pub-style quiz with prizes and more!
Come in costume or not - totally up to you! Ghosts, ghouls, sandworms, or anyone who's recently passed through the waiting room — we want to see your best Halloween look. Costumes are welcome, never required.
Why book early:
Spaces are genuinely limited — the escape room is built for small numbers moving through at a time, not a crowd. Once they're gone, they're gone, and this exact night won't come around again.

Doors open: 17h30-19h30 for Escape Room (Exact Time slot will be selected in ticket booking) and Self-Guided Murder Mystery. Everyone to be seated at 19h30 for Quiz and Nostalgic Experience. Movie will begin at 20h00. Running Time of Film: 92 Minutes

Please note: dinner is not included - we highly recommend going to one of the beautiful restaurants in Kalk Bay before the film begins, but make sure you give yourself enough time for the murder mystery scavenger hunt and your timed booking for the haunted escape rom.

FAQ
What is included in my ticket? Every ticket includes the film screening, board game café access (only for specific titles), DVD shop access, and one included drink — choose from Coca-Cola, Appletiser or still water.
Is there an age restriction? Most Time Capsule events are recommended for ages 16 and up. Age recommendations are listed on each individual event page.
What is the dress code? Come as you are. Smart casual is the general vibe — people tend to dress up slightly because the evenings feel like an occasion, but there is no requirement.
Can I buy DVDs on the night? Yes — the DVD shop is open from doors until after the film (closed when the film is on obviously). You can also browse and buy from our online DVD shop at any time
What happens if I can't make it? Tickets are non-refundable but transferable — you are welcome to give your ticket to someone else. Contact us before the event and we can update the name on the booking.
Is parking available? Yes — parking is available across the road from the venue next to the Dalebrook tidal pool
Can I buy tickets at the door? No tickets will be sold at the door, unless we have said so beforehand. Therefore pre-booking is essential!
